Today we're adding a new ingredient to the KNP adventure: Grégoire.
A wise geek with a terrific experience in the Symfony world.
But who is this Grégoire everyone is talking about?
Grégoire − aka chanmix51 on twitter and github − is a true geek.
He's using magical vim commands to make things appear, he'll convince you to throw MySQL away and switch to PostgreSQL in a 15 minutes enchantment/speech… and he's buying "v1.0" t-shirts for his new-born baby.
Grégoire has also got a great deal of experience in the Symfony world: he was there at the beginning of symfony 5 years back. First as a Sensio Labs developer, project manager, auditor, consultant then trainer; then as a reknowned freelance.
This experience makes him a great solutions discoverer, a pragmatic guys who knows what he's doing and how to move forward.
And finally he's a very nice and charismatic guy.
Hey, if you want to meet him, he's the one organizing the "First jeudis" in Nantes to exchange VIM spells and troll about Java. And yes, there's definitely beer involved. So if you're in Nantes, join us next time!
Greg and Knp
So what's Greg going to do at Knp?
Greg is the new Head of KNP Nantes, he will be managing our little team there (Antoine, Vincent, Florian, Pierre, Konstantin, Gediminas, Eve).
He's also the guy you want to talk to if you have a cool new project you want us to develop.
With Greg's arrival, Laetitia and I will be able to focus on cooking new great projects, encouraging new internal ideas and developing KNP spirit in our 3 awesome offices in France and in the US.
'Cause I must tell you: there is always a lot going on at Knp! The guys are impressively creative - and opening the Lyon office 3 weeks ago has just made this more true than ever!
In a nutshell, I'll be concentrating on bringing great people and great project together in the same open-minded, fun and innovative spirit that has made our reputation.
I love my job.
Matthieu Bontemps, KNP co-founder.
