Jun 11, 2012 − For two days we closed the agency in Nantes to join some of our team members from Poland and Eastern Europe on the SfLive 2012 in Paris. See more pictures and comments of your favorite Team :)

Thursday morning we went to Paris, Thomas, Veloce, Pierre, Antoine, Eve... (and Gildas missed the train ;) to rejoin our two SfLive Speakers Grégoire and Konstantin, who where already there. So the whole agency was away, except Cécile... thank you for guarding the office in Nantes.

KNP Labs Team arrives

Arriving at the amazing International University of Paris. Tired but happy.

Internal talk after SfLive:
Eve: What do you think about our trip to SfLive?
Pierre: There were interesting things, and less interesting things, and the food was good. --- Kidding. I liked a lot the conf of David Z... what was his name?
Gildas: Zuelke. Yes, I liked it also.
Pierre: Because it was very well explained that many people pretend to do REST, but actually they don't.
The plastic chairs were too hard and my back was aching.
Pierre: The frisbees were too thin and not large enough for a windy day.
Flo: I so much agree. Also, Pierre is a badass at frisbee.
Eve: Besides, Thomas has still his backache because of playing frisbee.

Big Klein

It was really cool to meet some of the members of the SfCommunity in RL. Dr Klein loves to chat and if you’ve never seen him for real, his nickname is confusing because he isn't really "klein".

Internal talk:
Flo: I appreciated to chat with all the dudes who are doing libraries. And I liked the pragmatic approach of the speak about RESTful Webservices. Jeopardy... basque restaurant...
Konstantin: I liked also the REST talk and the Keynote was correct. Security in real life was pretty cool...
Flo: Oh yes, this one I liked too.
Konstantin: And using MongoDB responsibly, because there was a lot of technical details about best practices and good examples. And Jeopardy, because it's Jeremy M.
Flo: Because JM is really awesome.
Konstantin: And Behat by example, because I am awesome ;)
Flo: Because I love me :)
Konstantin: And the introduction beer party before the sfLive was awesome. But I couldn't do karaoke because I was ill.

KNP Labs Team pause

Everyone needs to eat - hungry developers are not funny. We enjoyed to eat sandwiches on the grass and also played frisbee!

Internal talk:
Pierre: Hotel was quite nice, but the bed was a little too hard for my back. The basque restaurant was really good.
Eve: I liked the SF Haribo Goldbären.
Pierre: The ambiance of the International University was joli.
Vincent: You can say even superbe. Jeopardy was really great.
Gildas: Yes, pretty cool.
Vincent: And I liked the talk about php internals, it was really interesting.
Gildas: Perfect after lunch.
Thomas: I liked a lot Konstantins speech.
Eve: Why?
Thomas: Because he is a pretty boy ;)
Flo: Because he’s the (only?) one who spoke about business problems. Hell yeah.
Thomas: And of course the REST-Show. He's a Showman.
Gildas: Websocket conf because he proposed an innovating architecture which seems really reliable.
Greg: I came with 150 slides for my conf and finally I presented 80 which weren't the same as at the beginning.

Stof

Stof on the "There is a Bundle for that" conference, presenting the KNP Bundles.com website.

Internal talk:
Antoine: I liked the basque restaurant. And the unconf about php-internals because I learned a lot...
Eve: What did you learn?
Flo: That the number is 42.
Antoine: I learned a lot about a tool I am using actually everyday. And I liked Behat conf.
Konstantin: Oh thanks.
Antoine: Really, Behat was the best. I did not like the lunch, one sandwich is really not enough. And the REST conf was great.
Flo: It was almost the best conf. Jeopardy was a little long, and luckily I was on stage for the second game to avoid falling to sleep. Have to implement a real-time app to make the whole audience play next time.

KNP Labs Sponsor

We were also sponsor of the SfLive and distributed nice Edgars and Behat stickers. Thanks to Cécile who ordered for us the flashy T-Shirts - you couldn't miss us in the crowd.

What can I do for you

If you have a question or want to chat, there is a Pierre for you!

We'd like to introduce you to Eve's favorite childhood game: Wimmelbild

So the game goes like that : you have a picture with a loooot of people doing all kind of actions... and you have questions like "How many children are eating ice-cream?" or "Do you find the dog barking at the cat?" and the next stage of the game is to invent questions for others.

So here we have our sfLive-Wimmelbild

Wimmel

  1. How many Edgars do you find?
  2. Do you find the Jeopardy Man?
  3. What is the favorite meal of KNP Labs Team?
  4. How many people are actually eating?
  5. What drinks DrKlein?
  6. How many conferences do you find?
  7. Who came from KnpWorld to the sfLive?
  8. Who is not member of KnpTeam?
  9. What is the name of the only building?
  10. What is Pierres favorite pastime?
  11. Which photo is switched horizontally?
  12. Can you whistle the Jeopardy music?
