Dec 13, 2011 − After months of hard work by Matthieu, stof, everzet, Romain, and others, we finally gave up on building the teleportation device we hoped would take us into the living rooms of devs everywhere. So, we thought, how else can we coach people in PHP, Behat, and Symfony? Of course, screencasts. Meet KnpUniversity.com, our latest experiment.

We've been pretty busy lately, and with the holidays almost upon us, we wanted to release (at least) one more big surprise. One of our favorite things at KNP is being able to meet developers from around the world and help coach and train them to do wonderful things with the tools we love. So we thought, how can we do more?

After months of hard work by Matthieu, stof, everzet, Romain, and others, we finally gave up on building the teleportation device we hoped would take us into the living rooms of devs everywhere. So, we thought, what's the next best thing?

Meet KnpUniversity.com - screencasts for the topics you care about, including PHP, Symfony, and hopefully a lot else. Our goal is pretty simple: to offer a high quality way to learn from the experts when you can't actually get an expert. This goes beyond reading blogs: you'll actually see us develop, see best practices in action, and hear about common pitfalls. Because we'd love to have the resources to keep doing these, some screencasts are for sale and others are free (because we can't help but give things away).

To kick things off, we've started with two screencasts aimed at people that are new to PHP 5.3 or Symfony2:

And now we need you. What other topics, examples or technologies would you like to see? In addition to screencasts, what other things are you looking for? Like always, we hope this new project will be a community effort :).
